I'm a 29 year old chick living in the South. I'm married to Kim - happily married most of the time. Our daughter is 8-year-old Bailyn. I work in the I.S. Department of a nearby hospital. Oh, and I'm a pagan living in the Bible Belt.

I love reading, cuddling with Kim and Bailyn, working with computers, playing The Sims 2, and waiting anxiously for the release of Sims 3.

Bailyn is being good!!

That's right! My angel is actually being an angel. We kept getting reports of terrible behavior the first 2 weeks of school. After the second week, she earned herself a nice, long week of being confined to her room with no toys, TV, etc. We have now gotten through 2 1/2 weeks of stellar behavior! I'm so proud of her!

She's also working really hard on her reading. They're teaching a combination of sight words and phonics, which I think is perfect. We work on it for 10 minutes (or a little more) every single night. She has one set of words that she's supposed to be learning by sight and another set that she's working on sounding out. She's doing a great job! Last week, only 3 kids in the class knew their sight words. Wonder what this week will be like. I certainly don't have to worry about Bai...she has them down pat.

OK, I'm through bragging now. Back to your regularly scheduled life....
