I'm a 29 year old chick living in the South. I'm married to Kim - happily married most of the time. Our daughter is 8-year-old Bailyn. I work in the I.S. Department of a nearby hospital. Oh, and I'm a pagan living in the Bible Belt.

I love reading, cuddling with Kim and Bailyn, working with computers, playing The Sims 2, and waiting anxiously for the release of Sims 3. Photobucket

Karma's a Bitch!

Even though I just posted about one traumatic event that happened today, I have a few minutes before Martha's Apprentice comes on, so I'll post about the other "event" that took place this afternoon.

First, let me backtrack to Monday. I had an overwhelming desire to get the hell up outta the hospital. That, coupled with the need to run a few important errands (such as getting back home to Moultrie before 1:00 so I could get the Christmas money out of the savings account at the credit union), led me to.....er, INVENT a story to tell my boss. Apparently, in some parallel universe, Bailyn's school called me and told me that Bailyn threw up at school, so I had to go get her.

Fast forward back to today. I was at the hospital, just buzzing away like a good worker bee when the phone rang. Yeah, you know the end of this story. Fortunately, it was apparently a one-time thing. She's been acting like she's feeling just fine all afternoon.

PARENTING RULE #1
Never - I repeat: NEVER - use "my kid is sick" as an excuse for ANYTHING. It will, without fail, come back to bite you.

Now, see, I know this rule. I just....feel the need to test it periodically.
