I'm a 29 year old chick living in the South. I'm married to Kim - happily married most of the time. Our daughter is 8-year-old Bailyn. I work in the I.S. Department of a nearby hospital. Oh, and I'm a pagan living in the Bible Belt.

I love reading, cuddling with Kim and Bailyn, working with computers, playing The Sims 2, and waiting anxiously for the release of Sims 3. Photobucket

Good Day!

Had a really good today. I had the day off, since it was a teacher work day and Bailyn was still out of school.

We got up this morning and followed Kim to the shop so he could drop off the truck. The clutch started misbehaving last week, so we took it in last Monday and they replaced the slave cylinder (whatever that means) and hoped that would take care of the problem. It didn't, so we took it back to them today so they could replace the master cylinder. Over $200 in all. Oh, and he noticed the A/C acting the fool last Tuesday, so that was another $100 and something. At least the A/C being all stupid explained the unreasonably high electric bill this month.

Anyway, we got up this morning and followed Kim to the shop and then dropped him off at work. Then we continued on to the city an hour away. Bailyn and I had yummy butterscotch pancakes and hashbrowns at IHOP.

Stopped by PetSmart to see how much the dog training classes are. It's $109 for 8 weeks of puppy or beginner classes. Since Neo is doing well with what we've been working on (don't want TWO untrained lunatics, so we're working to resolve that problem), we'll probably take the new pup to class and then use what we learn to make more progress with Neo. After that, we went to Bailyn's dentist to put sealants on her molars that just recently came in.

Came back home and (finally) dismantled the tree. Left a little after 3 to go get Kim and take him to get the truck. Since we have pretty much closed the reproduction question and didn't want Bailyn to have to hang out in the waiting room for an hour, we decided that I'd go to the appointment alone and just fill her in. While I was at the appointment, Bailyn and Kim came back to the house and waited. Then we headed to Wal-Mart after I got finished. Kim and I both were in a silly mood, so we spent the trip to Wal-Mart, the time shopping, the whole way back, and the rest of the evening cracking on each other and just in general having fun. Bailyn was enjoying the constant laughter and even got in several cracks of her own. She's bathed and in the bed now, getting ready to head back to school.

All in all, it was a lovely day. I thoroughly enjoyed it. :)
